How many external displays does each Mac support?

The number of external displays each of the 100 Macs supports, as the figure recorded from its Apple Tech Specs page, grouped by line with the newest first.

Apple words this differently from Mac to Mac, so each figure carries the note recorded with it: where Apple gives a number only for one chip, one resolution or one lid position, the note says so.
