Which Macs run macOS 27?

macOS 27 Golden Gate is the current macOS (released 14 September 2026), and Apple gives it as compatible with 56 of the 100 Macs we track. Apple’s compatibility page (support.apple.com/en-gb/127255, read 2 October 2026) names 35 entries and leaves out 4 entries (5 Macs we track) that were on its macOS Tahoe 26 list: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports); MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019); iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020); Mac Pro (2019). 5 of the Macs that run it are not named on that page; they run macOS 27 Golden Gate on the word of another Apple page, cited below. The other 44 Macs we track do not run macOS 27 Golden Gate: Apple’s list does not name them and no Apple page we cite gives them that release.
